If you're not sure what kind of assistance you need, or just want to talk through options, we're happy to discuss options with you.
How It Works
1. Submit a Request
Submit a service request by calling us at 682-381-0487, filling out the online form, or sending an email to [email protected]. Your request will be shared with our pool of trained volunteers.
If you are a current member and wish to submit a request, please click here to get started.
2. Volunteer Match
When a volunteer accepts your request, we'll notify you with their name and contact information. The volunteer will be responsible for reaching out to you to confirm the time, day, and any other necessary details.
3. Enjoy the Assistance
Your volunteer arrives ready to help. All volunteers are background-checked, trained, and happy to assist with your requested task.
Please keep in mind that volunteers aren’t professional service providers. A good rule of thumb: if it’s something you might comfortably ask a friendly neighbor for help with, it’s likely a good fit for our volunteers.
4. Feedback and Follow-up
After your request is complete, we’ll check in to see how things went. Your feedback helps us support our volunteers, improve our services, and make sure we’re meeting your needs. We’re always happy to hear how your experience went—whether everything was great or there’s something we can do better.
Important Note
All volunteer services are subject to the availability and interest of our volunteers. To honor their flexibility, service requests are posted on a virtual “bulletin board,” and volunteers choose which tasks they’d like to fulfill. Coppell's Village Collective does not assign volunteers or mandate fulfillment of any requests, we simply provide the platform to connect members with willing volunteers.
Because of this, we cannot guarantee that any specific request will be fulfilled. If your request is not picked up, you are welcome to resubmit it up to three times.
Coppell's Village Collective is not a caregiving agency and does not provide 24-hour care, medical assistance, emergency response, or ongoing personal assistance. Volunteer services are designed to supplement a comprehensive care plan, not replace it. Frequency and consistency of service may vary and should not be relied upon for critical or time-sensitive needs.

Home Maintenance
Coppell's Village Collective desires to assist members to maintain their independence and feel more comfortable in their homes. Volunteers can provide in-home assistance with light household tasks and basic home maintenance.
Volunteers can assist with a wide range of tasks, depending on their availability and task approval. Some examples of the services we can assist with include:
Interior Tasks:
- Changing smoke detector batteries
- Swapping out air filters
- Replacing light bulbs
- Light vacuuming or tidying
- Taking out trash
Exterior Tasks:
- Basic painting of exterior surfaces
- Lawn mowing
- Gardening or light yard work
- Raking leaves
If you have a task not listed here, you are still welcome to submit a request. We review additional tasks on a case-by-case basis.
Wellness Checks
Coppell's Village Collective offers wellness checks to members who would like a regular check-in by phone. These calls are a simple way to help members stay connected and supported. They are not emergency services or crisis management, but rather a friendly voice checking in to make sure all is well.
If a concern comes up during a call, the volunteer will notify the Village Coordinator, who will follow up and determine any next steps.
Requesting Wellness Checks
Wellness checks are available to members Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm (excluding holidays). To sign up, simply submit a request through the Village Collective website, or give us a call at 682-381-0487.
Once you sign up, the Village Coordinator or a volunteer will contact you to:
- Confirm your start date, call frequency, and preferred time
- Discuss any special needs
- Review the purpose and limitations of the program
- Collect emergency contact information
If you'd like, we can also notify your emergency contact about your participation and explain how they may be involved if we can't reach you.
What to Expect During a Wellness Check
- A volunteer will call you at the agreed-upon times for a friendly check-in and conversation.
- If they can't reach you, they will try calling up to three times in the same day.
- If there's still no answer, the Village Coordinator may reach out to your emergency contact or request Coppell's Police Department to complete a welfare check on your behalf.
After each wellness check, volunteers log the interaction in your private member profile.
Community Partner Referrals
We are here to help members stay connected to trusted local resources. While our volunteers handle many home tasks, some jobs require professional services. That's where our Community Partner Referrals come in.
Coppell's Village Collective maintains a list of local businesses and service providers that offer services outside the scope of our volunteer program. All information about our Community Partners is available through our Resource Directory.
How Referrals Work
If we’re unable to fulfill a service request, we may refer you to one or more of these providers. If a Community Partner offers a discount for Village Collective members, we’ll make sure you know about it when we provide the referral.
A Note About Referrals
- Referrals are provided as a courtesy and do not mean the business has been vetted, recommended, or guaranteed by Village Collective.
- Our referral list is updated on a rolling basis.
- Village Collective is not responsible for any issues, damages, or costs that arise from services provided by Community Partners.
- Discounts offered by Community Partners do not necessarily mean you are receiving the lowest available price.
We strongly encourage all members to research providers, ask questions, and make informed decisions before hiring any service.
