What does my membership fee go towards?
- Your membership helps cover the cost of volunteer background checks, program software, and events.
What do I get by becoming a member?
- As a member, you’ll have access to volunteer services, social events, and local discounts through our Resource Directory.
What kind of volunteer services does the Village provide?
- Village Collective provides three main volunteer services- light home maintenance, transportation, and wellness checks. Please visit our Volunteer Services Page for more information. If you need help with something not listed, please reach out — we like to say that anything you might ask a helpful neighbor for is usually something our volunteers can assist with.
How does the Village vet vendors on the Resource Directory?
- As a City program, we aren’t permitted to officially vet or endorse any businesses listed in the Resource Directory. Vendors are included based on their interest in being listed, not through an approval process. However, if members share concerns or negative experiences about a vendor, we may remove them from the directory. We always encourage members to do their own research and due diligence before hiring any contractor or business.
